The AIS Radar application offers a capability to visualize AIS (Automatic Identification System) data transmitted from compatible marine transponders and receivers, including devices such as the ExNC 101, Weatherdock easyAIS, and Digital Yacht, over a WiFi network. For AIS equipment lacking integrated WiFi support, an external serial-to-WiFi converter—such as the SEAMate1A® Lite, Brookhouse iMux, Roving Networks RN-370, or Digi Connect® Wi-SP—can be employed to facilitate connectivity. Additionally, the application can display AIS data sourced from public internet feeds, exemplified by channels like the San Francisco Exploratorium. Please note that operation necessitates an AIS transponder or receiver capable of transmitting data over WiFi.
